On This Day In History: 12th July 1998
On this day, following a fourth round dismissal of Czech journeyman Petr Korda, Tim Henman discovered the most powerful self-motivational weapon available to the arsenal of English Sport: the unconvincing fist-pump.

This new device carried him all the way to the semi-final where he got cunted by Pete Sampras.
His legacy remains today, although the technique was later refined by Scotsman Andy Murray who went ahead and actually won something.
